Biển Caribe (Caribbean Sea) là một trong những biển lớn nhất thế giới với diện tích khoảng 2.754.000 cây số vuông. Toàn khu vực biển và đất liền xung quanh biển bao gồm 22 lãnh thổ hải đảo và 12 quốc gia đất liền được biết đến với tên chung Vùng Caribe.

Nhờ khí hậu ấm áp dễ chịu, nhờ các rạn san hô ở đây đẹp, nên nhiều du khách thế giới thích đến đây du lịch. Nhiều tàu cruise (du thuyền) đưa du khách đến đây. Theo thống kê của Hội Du Lịch Vùng Caribe (The Caribbean Tourism Organization) mỗi năm có 12 triệu du khách đến đây thăm viếng, trong số nầy tàu cruise đã chở đến 8 triệu người.

Điểm sâu nhất Biển Caribe là Cayman Trough (Vực Cayman) nằm giữa đảo Cayman và Jamaiica, sâu đến 7,686 thước. Vùng bờ biển Caribe có nhiều Vịnh quan trọng nhất là Vịnh Gonâve (Gulf of Gonâve), Vịnh Venezuala (Gulf of Venezuela), Vịnh Darién, Vịnh Mosquitos (Golfo de los Mosquitos), Vịnh Paria và Vịnh Honduras.
